There has always been a lot of movement from the Beverley area with people relocating into Europe. Brexit has certainly had an impact in recent years, but people are still leaving the region and currently there is a great deal of interest as people look to relocate before the final throws and implications of Brexit are hammered out.
France has always been the most popular destination. With property away from the cities being generally a lot cheaper in rural towns and villages customers can often get a lot of land and outbuildings to go with their home for a great price. Brexit did have an effect on movement from East Yorkshire to France and there was more of a move towards Spain in 2017, but this seems to have returned to normal in 2018.
Movements to Spain from Beverley continue apace. Volumes tend to be smaller due to the types of properties clients typically purchase in Spain and most movement is based into the Costas. Other then France and Spain the rest of the people moving into Europe spread themselves quite evenly across the other countries with Belguim, italy, Germany, Holland, Portugal and Scandinavia all getting regular enquiries.
